Day 327: Full Friday
Feb. 5th, 2021 11:52 pmLet's see, so today I first had a meeting with G. and two of our younger colleagues about a paper we worked on years ago, when one was an honor's student. She now works for the public defender's office in Portland and has been preparing for a quadruple homicide trial this summer. The other is defending her dissertation in two weeks.
After that, I zoomed to the allergy clinic with D, then sat in the car listening to the last 10 minutes of Beethoven's 6th symphony "Pastorale," which I hadn't heard in a few years, then went to the library to turn in a book and pick up the one they had ready for me. D. got back to the car just a few seconds before me. As soon as we got home, it was time for my biweekly office social hour - actually I was 25 minutes late, but today was just chatting, no games.
J. and I then went on a walk, then I showered (need to shower after I'm done being outside for the day in pollen season), then we had beer-cheese soup, toast, and apple, then quickly worked on setting up his laptop at my house so we could watch anime with DG and AA. And by the time we were done watching anime, it was already well into the evening. So, a fine day with no real achievements.
The best part of the anime, besides spending time with our friends, was when we had them and us on each other's screens, and Sorin and Ajani, on my lap and J's, each noticed Momo on AA's lap. Momo was too busy to notice us, but my cats were momentary rapt to learn of his existence.
