My Plain Jane, by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. Second in the series. This time our heroine is Jane Eyre. She's at Lowood School with Charlotte Brontë, and the third point-of-view character is another teenager, a member of the royal ghost-hunting society named Alexander; Branwell Brontë is his assistant. In their fantasy world, ghosts are real and anyone who's been temporarily dead can see them, so Jane's friend Helen Burns is also her constant companion. Lots of humor.
