Day 303: Shipping, expensive!

With the Christmas shopping, we'd bought a gift for J's younger nephew's first birthday, and today we bought another from our friends' Lego store. The box was large but light. They used to only take weight into account within the U.S., and I was expecting it would cost $20-25ish to ship it the "slow" way to North Carolina. But nope. Seven-day shipping was $47.55, only $9.45 less than three-day shipping. I guess in the future we should buy gifts from companies with free shipping (and gift-wrapping), until the boys are old enough for smaller gifts!
