Vacation 2005.6
Jul. 18th, 2005 09:01 amYesterday I taped the full BBC dramatization of North & South (by Elizabeth Gaskell), which I'd enjoyed so much a couple of weeks ago. Midway through, during D's nap, R. and
fractal9091 went to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and when my taping was done, I had my first turn with the Falco novel. Later, we cleaned and filled D's wading pool, as it was hot (94)! We then played Settlers, which J. won abruptly (J10, R4, L3), and had roast chicken with potatoes and thyme (poulet en cocotte bonne femme) for dinner, despite the season incongruity. The four of us then watched The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, which is the one with Tom Baker and the Kali statue. In the evening, J. and I watched I, Robot, which was quite good, and Ocean's Twelve, which was less so but reasonably entertaining.
