As the year draws to a close...

Today was Jean-Luc’s turn to visit the vet; he was basically fine except that he was terrified to be there, and he’d lost about a pound, probably from the stress of living in close proximity to Geordi and GinGin while they’re so unhappy about the fleas. He’s still fat, though. The vet tech gave him the Credilio pill – their method involved squirting water into his mouth strategically, when the pill was also in there.

I also did what may have been my longest walk in about a year, even though it was really cold out tonight, around or just below freezing. Then J and I did our weekly Safeway shopping. We have plans to make fondue tomorrow evening, for the holiday, and I did very well at remembering the lemon, for once. The recipe calls for lemon juice, and I always end up going back to the store for the lemon. That went fine today, along with collecting everything we plan to dip into the fondue, and we still had some pinot gris left over from last time we’d made fondue. However… when I was saying good night to J, we realized… we had forgotten the cheese! Ha ha ha ha ha.

Oops! I've never made fondue but I do know that the most vital ingredient is the cheese. I hope you managed to get some, or is the fondue postponed?

I'll just walk back to the store for it, in a bit. It's handy that the store is only half a block away.
