Heat, day 1

eve_primeWe're expecting five days of 100+ temperatures. Today was "only" 100. I went out in the heat twice, one to take Sorin to the vet for more blood tests, to see how well his medication is doing, and once was to drive D to S's house, as he's feeding their older dog and her fish while they're at the coast. Their house isn't air conditioned, so it makes sense to get him there with minimal heat exhaustion.
The Friday movie night show was Mad Max, which was quite different from how I expected. There was plenty of infrastructure, although not very good infrastructure. Max and others had normal, good-quality haircuts, and people wore normal clothes that had been properly laundered. It was also a very low-budget movie. It was interesting!
After that, J and I went back outside to wash his car and gambeson, which is a sort of thick jacket for swordplay. It was definitely appropriate weather for that - not cold at all.
D is going to Red Bluff, CA, in two weeks, for a memorial event for his grandma, and today it was 117 in Red Bluff...
