Sep. 22nd, 2023 11:49 pmToday in Vegas, J. eked out qualifying for Day Two of the big event, while D and DG narrowly missed out. They'll have other fun options tomorrow. Eventually JC arrived, and they all went out for a big dinner.
Meanwhile, in Eugene we enjoyed what was probably the last warm day of the year, according to the forecast. Cooler tomorrow, then about a week of intermittent rain. That's all fine, but I wanted to celebrate the last warm day, so I invited Z over, and we sat outside and chatted for nearly three hours! After that, I watched the Friday movie for J's Discord group, and this week it was The Incredible Mr. Limpet, which I'd seen as a kid. The script was much more clever than I'd remembered, and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
