Day 1144: Fun with friends

Today was J's last day in Minneapolis. They spent more time with DG's friend who lives there, then J got to meet one of his Discord friends, who also lives there, and who was part of J's first-ever escape room experience. He's wanted to do one for such a long time! Then around 5 pm the other friend picked them up and drove them to the airport, and they flew to Seattle, then home.

Meanwhile, Z. came over to visit me, and we chatted for two and a half hours. First we were outside with blankets wrapped around us (it was only like 53F), then we got cold and came indoors. After she left, Azalyn was quite cautious about being inside the house. Perhaps Z. was still hiding inside somewhere!

J's glad to be home but has to resume work tomorrow. I think there's always a value to having a day to recuperate before plunging back into everyday stuff, myself.
