Day 942: Delgani concert
Oct. 18th, 2022 11:56 pmToday I got to attend the Delgani concert in person (the one for which I'd listened to the livestream on Sunday). They played Haydn's Op. 20/4, which I like quite well for Haydn, then Bartok's Third String Quartet (pretty intense). Then after the intermission we had Beethoven's Op. 59/2, which I like very much. Every part of it is beautiful, and the fourth movement sounds like a happy horse galloping along. As I drove home, the radio was playing another Beethoven string quartet, Op. 132, for which the second movement sounds like a lullaby.
J. got his bivalent booster shot today, and his flu shot too, in the same arm. Sword class turned out to be a bit too much so he came home early (he had to go because the swordmaster had given him the key), and he gradually felt more ill until bedtime, when he was shivering and shivering, but we know he'll be better quite soon. D. and I are getting ours a week from Friday.
