Day 940: In which we pretend that it's still warm, ha

This afternoon was the first Eugene concert for the Delgani String Quartet, and I watched it online; I'll see them in person on Tuesday. The pieces were by Haydn, Bartok, and Beethoven.

Then we decided that since the smoke was much diminished, we would do fun outdoor things. Yesterday it had been in the low 80s, but today it was more like 70... First we touched up the paint on the deck, then we read outside together by the water feature. (I put on a jacket.) We were going to let the cats back out of the garage - they've been in there for days - but I discovered the paint wasn't drying very fast, ha ha. And then we went on a walk to enjoy the fall color, but it was dusk and we could barely see the trees. We'll have to try again in the four days before the rain gets here.

I finished a work task I'd been procrastinating (writing notes from 29 papers), and we played a game together online. Now I can just relax.
