A matter of style

I have two big writing projects that I want to make progress on, during the rest of the summer (such as it is). It just occurred to me today that they're more or less opposites. In one, I have to take a casual presentation script and turn it into an academic paper; in the other, I have to turn a whole bunch of academic writing into something interesting and compelling for a general audience. I suspect the former will be a lot easier...
