Bizzy!

Today was about packing in a lot of activities. D. went off to school for 4 hours in the morning, and when he got back, I went there myself and finished numbering the newly purchased reading texts. Then the two of us went shopping for his school supplies. In the pet store window we saw a pair of kitties, one black and one white, sleeping in a yang-yin position, and I should have photographed them but did not.

After we got home I was about to do some work when D. suggested the pool, since the season ends on Sunday, so we went there instead and tossed a plastic football back and forth for the better part of an hour, with a few swimming races in the middle. (I really appreciated the overcast sky, since I don’t wear sunglasses in the pool). When he was off at R’s I did more housework and made progress on my main writing project, and after I’d fetched him back again we went to the neighborhood Mexican restaurant with J.

Later, D. and I read the climactic scenes in The Belgariad, which we’ve been reading for months now. And now J’s gone home early – exhausted from two weekends of travel and very little sleep – and I can try to get more done.
