Today felt productive.
Sep. 3rd, 2013 09:56 pmMy first errand was to drop D’s clarinet off for minor repairs (school starts a week from Thursday). As it turned out, the backlog of back-to-school instrument repairs worked in my favor, because they didn’t want to add to it so they fixed it while I waited. I even bought a shirt at the vintage clothing store across the street.
Next, I worked on numbering new textbooks at the school library. This year, D. will be reading The Outsiders, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Ender’s Game.
After that, I spent some time refining the coding scheme for our interviews with women whose husbands quit smokeless tobacco. It’s really quite interesting.
Now D. and I are watching this week’s Face Off episode (subterranean humanoid), while J. sits on a plane at SFO, reading Scalzi’s Redshirts and waiting to fly back to Eugene.
