Post-procrastination
May. 4th, 2013 11:17 pmToday I made major progress on three things that I’ve put off for ages. We finished assembling D’s desk, and I don’t even want to say how many months ago we bought it. I got past the bottleneck in a work thing I’d been procrastinating, though admittedly it doesn’t have a deadline and no one will care for the next two years. And then, the combination of “lawnmower finally repaired” and “no more stomach bug” means I was able to start mowing the back lawn, of which typical blades of grass exceed 20" in length. J. suggests mowing a maze into the rest of it to amuse D – sounds fun!
After I’d been working in the back yard a while (though before mowing), I discovered I was sharing a space with our “friend” the deer from last summer; he was just lying there watching me. Later he decided to eat my apple tree, so I took a bunch of pictures (see FB for one) then chased him away. This will be an ongoing issue now that the gate is broken. I wonder how many months it’ll take until his antlers have grown back for the year.
