I wanted to wish Kagome a happy birthday, because a few weeks ago Wikipedia said it was today, but now it does not. At any rate, she would still be 15, which renders the birthday concept rather meaningless.

Sunny spring Friday

The back yard is now mostly ready for the Easter Bunny: I mowed and mowed. I'm also reading something interesting - having the library recall a book is an excellent way to get me to move it to the top of the list and put some effort into it. This is The Embodied Mind: Cognitive Science and Human Experience by Varela, Thompson, and Rosch (1991). It's one of the first main works trying to bridge Western cognitive science and Eastern experiential science (mindfulness meditation). More info here. It was unseasonably warm and sunny today, and if it weren't for all the pollen, I would have gotten to start reading outside!
