They say once a cat tries wet food, they’ll never go back to dry. I don’t think I need to worry about that. Safeway was out of Lillian’s type of IAMS dry food, so I bought a couple of pouches labelled “with beef and gravy.” Not “beef and gravy,” mind you. Actually, the primary ingredient was chicken, so, chicken “with beef and gravy.”
Lillian was standing by her plate, ready for dinner. When I tore open the pouch, though, she bounced backwards about 6 inches, her face recoiling in disgust. (It was quite comical.) She then half-flattened herself as if fearful, hesitantly approached it, licked all the gravy off, then retreated to wait by the empty IAMS bag for her real dinner to appear.
I gave up and went to Albertson’s for the IAMS. Thor then devoured the “with beef and gravy” in one great gulp.
