Turkey chasing

As I mentioned on FB earlier this week, I'd seen 10-12 wild turkeys beside the street, about 5 blocks north of us. Today, I spotted half a dozen of them clustered together attractively on the middle school lawn, and I wanted to photograph them. They were still there 10 minutes later, when I'd picked up D. from school, but 25 minutes after that, when we came back with the camera, they were nowhere to be seen. I walked around a bit and eventually heard them, but they were behind a house. If they live in the neighborhood, though, eventually I will catch them.
Thanks to the miracles of DVR, we're enjoying Modern Family, a new sitcom, and tonight we also got to see, finally, an episode (the pilot) of Arrested Development. R. and I watch TV together for half an hour or so every evening, starting at 7:30 p.m., and he seems to do much better at staying awake for sitcoms than documentaries.
