My mom has consumed another of my days, and I didn't even resolve the problems yet. Yesterday she got a disconnect notice for her water and utilities, but I took care of that one fairly easily by going online and setting up an account and paying it. Today, when I went over to get the reimbursement for that, and to get her to sign the checks for the bills I was paying, I discovered that she'd transferred her phone service to some other company. Nobody knows what company. It might just be the cable company, but for a while she was signed up with some weird outfit based in India, and I don't want to risk that, so I'm just going to change it back to the normal phone company. And then, when her new caregiver took her to SuperCuts, her Discover card was declined, so now I have to figure this out too. Gah!

So I was late picking up D. from school. To distract myself from this financial mayhem, I took him Halloween costume shopping, and now I have the cutest little Emperor of Evil in town.
