eve_primeToday I watched the first-season episode where we see what happened when Locke met his dad. At this point, Jack's dad is looking relatively saintly! Sawyer's, Sun's, and now Locke's are far worse. Only Jin's dad seems exempt (well, and Walt's), leading us to conclude that it's not that dads are universally evil, but once money is involved it's a different story. (Hurley's dad was absent or dead, and Claire's baby's dad was just a jerk.)
Today I got to return 18 library books (yay), and it was a beautiful day. D. went on an after-school field trip to Chuck E. Cheese, and R. and Thor went to a daylily meeting up in Dallas (Oregon). I made a point of doing a lot less work. Just now, though, I did open up the first timeslots for my new study, so I'm going to need to monitor that to make sure it's functioning right (not that we've got freshmen sitting around doing surveys on a Friday night). Meanwhile, I have finally gotten to start the new Recluce book that I've been eagerly awaiting: Mage-Guard of Hamor. I liked its predecessor better than all the others I've read, and I've read most of them.
