D. loves to study drawing books from the library (manga, mostly), so this week I got him a couple of drawing videos. Cartooning Tips and Tricks turned out to be a lame time-waster, but How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way was fascinating! I put it on for him today and ended up watching it myself. Stan Lee and Marvel artist John Buscema explain about perspective, anatomy, composition, and how to exaggerate certain features to make your heroes and villains larger than life.
