eve_primeToday was of course not a school day, and D's best friend's mom had e-mailed last week with the suggestion that we sign the kids up for the one-day program today at the Science Factory (the local planetarium and kids' science museum). I was about to, but then D. woke up irritable that day and insisted he wanted no such thing. That evening, he changed his mind, and the next day there were fortunately still openings, so we did sign him up, and today off he went.
So this afternoon, R. brought him home and he comes bursting in the door with the news that he had the best time ever and was about to be on TV! One of the local news crews had been there, and in about an hour he'd be on the news! And there he was!
It ought to be on the Web, too, but the link isn't active yet. If and when they get it working, I'll make a friends-locked post - e-mail me if you want to see it and aren't on my f-list.
