Football and fantasy

eve_primeFootball started today, and the Beavers (Oregon State) won their game. Oregon's season starts Saturday. This will be our Saturday fun for the next several months, and then of course basketball. It's great to have two schools to follow instead of just one!

fractal9091 heads to one of the funnest events of the year, DragonCon, in Atlanta. Also there will be meiow, of course, and rumor has it that coleoptera will, too. Among the thousands. This year most of the celebrities seem to be Star Trek TNG actors. It's such a big event that they don't even have a central schedule, just oodles of "tracks." This year the Buffy, Angel, and Firefly tracks have merged into a Whedonverse. Last year I got to have a really fun phone conversation one evening with fractal9091 while he walked around looking at late-night costumes, but this year he's travelling and rooming with a friend (DM) and will presumably be busier.
