Edgedancer, by Brandon Sanderson. This novella directly follows a very minor storyline in Words of Radiance, telling us what happened next to a young female thief called Lift who has special powers and her own ideas about doing things. This time she heads to a nearby city for reasons that are initially unclear, but she does care about doing the right thing and has to figure out what that is. This is all grand fun, because Lift is extremely amusing, and I enjoyed it tremendously.
