Good news - Ajani's appetite seems to be back! What a relief.

There's not much that's interesting to say about my day. J and I sorted a bunch of cardboard boxes in this garage, with the intention of recycling most of them. I also got him to prioritize the books he wants to read so we can shelve the rest when we figure out how to create more space in his library. At the end of the day, we watched something like six episodes of Naruto.

We have huge poxes of folded cardboard in our garage to lay down on the ground over weeds this spring. I wonder if we will actually do that.

If only that would take care of the blackberries. Hmm.

I would guess only smaller weeds.

I spent some time reading about it online. If the blackberries were new sprouts and didn't have deeper roots, then a layer of cardboard with something heavy over it might do some good, but if there are deeper roots it would probably do nothing except make a bigger mess for me to clean up later.

That is good you researched it first before making a bigger mess! We have a few tree roots that sprout that just won't die, they get on our nerves a bit and the cardboard won't help them either!

Some tree roots just sprout forever! We have that problem too.
