Wagner in the fog

Today our symphony performed Act III of Wagner's famous Tristan und Isolde, with internationally known opera singers joining them to sing the parts (but not to perform on stage, except for facial expressions, etc.). I had been to Act II last year (having skipped Act I), so it was not as brave to attend tonight. I wasn't entirely convinced that I wanted to, as it's not really my type of music, but eventually concluded it was a cultural event I shouldn't miss. How often does a small city like Eugene perform Wagner? Not very! I'm glad I went, but I'm even more glad that they did only one act at a time, as Act III was *ahem* 80 minutes in itself.
When I left, it was so foggy that I had to have my windshield wipers going for most of the ride home, until I was further from the river. Still not a safety issue, thankfully.
I've been extra-sleepy this week, and I had to take a nap to feel rested enough to go, so I didn't get a whole lot done otherwise. I wonder if I'm fighting off a virus? I do wish I'd thought to wear a mask during and after the pre-concert talk, though my seat for the actual performance wasn't very close to anyone else.
