Book completed

Paladin's Hope, by T. Kingfisher. Saint of Steel #3. This time we're matching up the most destabilized of the broken berserker paladins with the "lich-doctor" (forensic pathologist), both men. They head off with a gnole guard (a person from a badger-like species who has joined the human guard corps) to investigate a peculiar series of murders. As usual T. Kingfisher has a light touch with her horror elements, and the romance is satisfying as the two were surprisingly well matched.

Clear skies!

Finally! I went to the university library - it's the best time of year for that, with so few students and lots of parking - and found some information I needed, as well as a stack of books. When it was darker, J and I went for a longish walk. We could see four planets in the sky at the same time: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus. The lights from the houses on the eastern hills looked so pretty, and we discovered that our friends K&K had quite a fancy display of Christmas lights.
