Day 858: Relaxing

We're going to have a heat wave this week - not a "heat dome" but a normal heat wave, with highs in the 95-100 range - so today I made a point of relaxing outdoors. I read for hours, sometimes with a cat on my lap, sometimes with J. reading beside me (he finished the second Raksura book today). After D. got off work, we had Thai food delivered and ate outdoors too, in the shade beside the water feature, which we've been enjoying immensely since its repair.

Starting tomorrow, though, I'll be hiding indoors until at least 6 pm every day. Maybe I'll get lots done!
