Day 783: My first lasagna
May. 9th, 2022 11:00 pmToday, ha, I made my first lasagna. (I wonder why we call it "lasagna" instead of pluralizing it to "lasagne" as we do with spaghetti, linguine, ravioli, etc.? Must be an Americanism; I see that ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)

Anyway, R. liked to make spinach lasagna for special occasions, so I never bothered. But last week, when I found myself actually getting tired of lemon-asparagus risotto, I decided that lasagna might be just the thing. I used more or less the same ingredients that R. used, and I found some instructions online, but the layer on the top ended up too dry, so maybe next time I'll leave the foil on the whole time (the instructions said to remove it halfway through). It was a fun treat, and now I'll have lasagna all week!
Also I finally went out for the Monday dinner at the Taphouse again, with J. and DG. (In my case, it was lunch - a giant pretzel and a cup of albondigas soup.) I also picked up two library books.
Now I'm working on the laundry that I never got to yesterday...
