Today I experienced a surprisingly good level of energy. My guess would be that rain had knocked the pollen out of the air (plus my nemesis, Oregon ash, is on the decline pollen-wise by now anyway). Yay!

I spent an hour cleaning the kitchen - there's still a long ways to go, but I had fun. I spent 10 minutes each on six "zones," using a die-roll to decide which to do when, with some adjustments for the complication that D. was making his lunch then, using the toaster oven, microwave, and stovetop. So far the main achievements are a very clean toaster oven, a toss-out of the expired medications, and a properly sorted collection of postage stamps.

Then I used today's Symphony watch party to get some writing done, a query for an academic journal paper related to my book. Today's piece was Verdi's Requiem, and it was too operatic for me so after about an hour of it I ended up turning the sound off, ha.

Then I took J. on a walk. We enjoyed the rhododendrons and flowering dogwood trees on the other side of Willamette, the main street in our neighborhood, and then we encountered D's girlfriend S and her mom, H! Since we consider them members of our virus-household (because D. continues to visit S), it was fine to visit with them, and we all kept a good distance from each other anyway, though I did pet their little dogs Butters and Peanut. S. is doing fine, it seems, but H. is pretty stressed from life as an art teacher with more than 140 kids to track. So it was probably helpful for her to have us to listen.

Also! I ordered four books today and a DVD. Fun!

D's writing a paper - I think I'll head back down the driveway and see how he's doing. Bye for now!
