Manual Cinema's "Frankenstein"
Mar. 1st, 2020 11:21 pmWe went to an unusual event today, in the smaller theater at the Hult Center. Manual Cinema is a group that produces "movies" on a big screen, live - you can see them doing everything, with stencils and overhead projectors and puppets and actors and musicians, right there on the stage in front of you. This production was a touching version of "Frankenstein." Afterwards, we were all invited to walk around the stage and talk with the actors/puppeteers/musicians/crew, so we did so.
My friend JS was there, with three of her other friends. She teaches "Frankenstein" every year to her students in her on-line school for gifted children.
Afterwards, J. and I went to Fred Meyer to get a bag for his sword class gear, so he can stop carrying a box, which I think they've been teasing him about. We came home, and I made spaghetti for D, who worked on the annual scholarship application process (due tomorrow at 5 pm) - last night we did the federal financial aid form. Then I returned to J's house and we did the daily challenge for our Slay the Spire game - but as soon as it was done, he abruptly developed a headache and sore throat and started vomiting from congestion. Now he's resting. Poor J. At least those aren't coronavirus symptoms.
