Plodding along

I'm still stuck working on this proposal, which was less fun than usual today when I had a sore throat and still had to spend a bunch of time talking on the phone and a videoconference. It was also the day we'd planned for J's heat pump maintenance, which messed me up a bit time-wise too, but, oh well.

Meanwhile, J. is plodding along through my book draft, noting various insights for me. He's partway through the third chapter, which is the last I drafted and quite long. I'm glad that he's pointing out the places where I'm being too academic, either with phrasing or with the information I'm including. Very helpful! But he can't constructively read a lot in one go.
