I was just about to step into the shower when J. called to tell me the hot tub repair guy had arrived three hours early, so I rushed over there to listen to what he had to say. Then I zipped down to my office to use the scanner, then home again, but I was restless all afternoon and had a hard time settling to work. Eventually I found spreadsheets were more simpatico than writing, which helped.

In the evening, we had a dazzling sunset and went for a walk to appreciate it. Then I used J's front porch for paper-writing again, although it was cooler and Theo the cat wasn't around. I'm averaging 800 words now. Up soon, more One Piece - we're finally post-timeskip, which is fun!
