Last clarinet lesson (boo)
Jun. 9th, 2018 11:00 pmAs of 1:15 pm this afternoon, D. is officially retired from the clarinet. Today for his final lesson he actually practiced a bit, preparing the third movement of the Mozart concerto since his teacher especially wanted to play it with him. We brought her a pretty pink fuchsia in a hanging basket, and we got to meet her elderly and plump cat Schneegouritchka. I'm going to miss his teacher; she's a kick. (I could take lessons myself, but I'm not quite prepared to start a project like that right now.)
Now D's at a birthday party sleepover at a friend's house. They all came back for his whole desktop computer setup so they could play League of Legends together. (Handy that some of his friends can drive!)
Meanwhile I've been tidying up for tomorrow's graduation party, and J. and I went out to dinner at the neighborhood Thai restaurant.
