Life after high school
Jun. 8th, 2018 11:54 pmNow it's pouring rain. It wasn't in the morning – in the early part of the day I did some yardwork, then I went out on three errands including to my office. Later in the day I worked a bunch on the current proposal and made the cats happy by watching TV on the couch – this week's episode of American Ninja Warrior and the fourth episode of Monk, a detective show from the early 2000s, which a friend has been enjoying lately.
D. made the most of his first day after high school – he played Hollow Knight for hours, then went to a sushi restaurant with his girlfriend and her grandparents, then resumed the game when he got home.
I've been getting a bit tired of the Wheel of Time, with six more books to go. I started a very funny book by a Swedish author The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out a Window and Disappeared, but the copy is too scented for me to read in bed. Still haven't finished On the Road either, but humor is more what I need today.
