Saturday fun

We had fun! First, though, we tied up J's roses so they weren't dangling over the grass-flooded flowerbed, then I did some mowing, and since it was hot I felt faint and uncomfortable and very likely to get a migraine. J. went off to play in a Magic event with DG as his teammate, and I went inside and showered and worked a bunch on paper no.4, and when it was cooler I even did more mowing. But after all that, we went to our neighborhood Mexican restaurant, Chapala, with DG and his wife AA, and we spent two hours there and closed the place down, then returned to J's house and conversed for another hour and a half. Such fun!

At some point before dinner, I discovered that I'd injured my left hand during the course of the day. No clue when (though I guess the rose project would have been logical). The base of my middle finger is swollen and unhappy. Ice kind of helps. Glad I can still type okay.

Then D. and I finally got his graduation announcements assembled. Still need a few more addresses of family members.

After the Saturday night anime (it's now actually after 2:30 a.m.), I went outside to see Mars, for the first time in more than a year probably. The moon was right by it, so bright. Jupiter was in the west, much brighter, and Saturn in between, possibly not even as bright as Arcturus. I'm curious about that but it's late so I'll look it up another time.
