And one more "decompressing" day
Apr. 14th, 2018 11:02 pmThis afternoon I went to a talk by Sy Montgomery, the author of The Soul of an Octopus, where, naturally, we learned quite a lot about the octopus. Pretty amazing.
After that, I did the last three events of the Musicking conference - J. and I went to the fundraising dinner at the Agate Alley Bistro, then I went to the pre-concert lecture, then heard Mozart's "Requiem." I ran into two concert-going friends, Rob and Pat, and sat with them... in the third row of Beall Hall. Pretty intense. Pat kindly gave me some earplugs, which helped with the loud bits, as I was barely 15' from the soprano section of the choir.
