New!!!

We are creating a new research center! I'm in on the ground floor, one of the main people. It's so exciting! The main person wanted to call it the Culture Design Institute, but the "design" part of that makes me cringe a little, and I wasn't alone in that. I think it's going to end up being the Center for Applied Cultural Evolution. The idea is to help people and communities change their "cultures" to become more resilient during difficult times, and more responsible and inclusive. It is definitely not a "top down" thing, where we tell people what they should be doing, and that's why I wasn't thrilled with "design," because it kind of has that implication.

I'll post more info as we get further along, but if you're at all interested I suggest following Joe Brewer on Facebook. He's a bit more radical than I am, convinced that civilization is in the process of collapsing, but he's also eminently practical.
