Benefit concert

Tonight (after getting the passport photos taken care of effortlessly at the photo store), I went to a concert to benefit Tsunami Books, a bookstore in our part of town that hosts lots of community events. The performers were mostly the Delgani String Quartet; they were accompanied by a soprano, a pianist, and a male singer who's the morning host of our local classical station. I'd already heard of him when he was hired, so it was a bit of a thrill to meet him in person. There were tasty Chinese snacks afterwards, and I conversed with several people I knew, including both of the violinists. I have two more concerts to attend in the next five days, so this was a great start to "concert week"!
