I was impressed today - a third day in a row of having ample energy, even with all that exercise yesterday. I went to a meeting at work for the "younger" scientists (I am not the oldest one there), then we had a planning meeting for our next grant proposal that was really helpful. I tried printing J&D's passport photos on the laser printer with some good photo paper (a failure), then drove over to the youth symphony offices and chatted a while with HS.

Then I drove downtown to meet J. for dinner and ended up walking to the bookstore I'd been meaning to visit for weeks, then back to our usual downtown eatery. He had a pulled pork sandwich with a lot of pork, and a blueberry-pomegranate cider. I had shepherd's pie, which I hadn't tried before. I joined him in a draft at the store (we both made merfolk decks) and lost to the pirate-looking fellow who was playing a pirate deck - he's nicer to me than he used to be. After I got home I finished reading Longbourn - great! Recommended! And we enjoyed the hot tub in the cold night air.

Today was decidedly less busy. A highlight was looking for the cards to help D. switch from one deck to another for Saturday's local tournament. It turned out I unexpectedly actually own a copy of one he was going to have to buy - cool! That's in addition to the 8 or so cards I lent him that he could also have borrowed from J. The new deck is white-blue and fits his play style more than the old one.

Later, J. and I resumed watching My Hero Academia. Always hard to stop when almost every episode ends on a cliffhanger!
