Back to "normal"

J. drove his parents to Portland for the train today. He came back, ate spaghetti with us, then went to do a "cube draft" (a Magic thing) at the home of a local player who hadn't invited him before. I understand that they were playing very slowly, and he was concerned that he might come home smelling of "a legal substance." (I didn't notice it.)

As for me, I did some analyses, arranged some boxes of stuff, hauled blackberry vines to the yard debris bin, drove D. to/from the youth symphony rehearsal, and tried reading a time-travel novel, Corrupting Dr. Nice, which I probably won't finish. I also watched more of season two of Chronicles of Shannara - at this point, pretty much all the male characters are more handsome than Wil, but he's okay too.
