On his way

D. left for Portland with his girlfriend's family around 7:45 p.m., and I trust that they are all asleep, as they need to be at the airport at 5 a.m. or some such. Well, D. might not be asleep; he went to bed at 2:30 a.m. last night. I think East Coast time is going to come as a shock.

We rushed out at practically the last minute to buy him two more pairs of shorts, which was fine, but I wish the sporting goods store had a chair near the dressing room.
