And Sunday

Tomorrow D. leaves for a week-long trip to Florida (!) with his girlfriend's family. I've been getting to know her mom, who is a fairly private person and even more introverted than I am, and today I spent an hour and a half with her, chatting about the trip. At the end of my visit, she lent me her crutches from when she broke her ankle, and I think they will be pretty useful, although I've been able to walk up and down the driveway to J's house on my own. My right leg is fairly tired of having to hold my weight and maintain balance, and my left foot doesn't like the gentle pressure of the special boot.

J. competed in an online Magic tournament today, which he found stressful. He finished in 30th place, though, out of 195, and won 24 packs, worth about $70.
