Hot and hazy
Aug. 2nd, 2017 11:54 pmThe high temperature today was "only" 102.7, not quite that 108 they had cautioned us to expect. It was still very hot, and very bright, and miserable to be outside because we had so much haze from wildfires. One fire was local, then there were at least two in the Cascades, and one up in Canada sending its smoke to us as well. In the morning the particulate count was "code red," then it got somewhat better later in the day. It makes me cough, and the air tastes icky, and I'm glad none of us have asthma. Rain would be nice, but it's probably many weeks away.

Meanwhile...
- The ants found a package of Oreos in the cupboard, yikes.
- And I discovered a major mistake in the data analysis for my study, which was pretty aggravating, though the results are not bad.
- And J. finished Ori and the Blind Forest, and I started to play it myself, on "easy" mode.
