The Fourth

Potluck with friends, then fireworks along the street. D. and his girlfriend rushed over to the school to see the fancy aerial ones but I saw only one of those, while walking home. For the potluck I made a caesar salad with smoked salmon and the ever-popular mozzarella sticks, and J. made brownies. He'd gotten up before 7 a.m. to play in a fancy online Magic tournament (finishing 17th out of 244, and with a glitch that took away his chance of a higher finish, but they reimbursed him such that he can try again). He ended up too tired to stay for the fireworks, but I had a great time anyway.
