Today's nice things
Mar. 1st, 2017 09:25 pm- McMenamin's has the grilled salmon caesar salad on the menu again; I hadn't had it since September. Yum. And their pomegranate cider is extra-good.
- Today was mostly sunny and not particularly cold.
- There was a little towhee in the rose bush beside my car when I got back from checking J's mail. Oh, and while I was down by his mailbox I got to pet my gorgeous friend Skelly, and his tortoiseshell-tabby-kitten-housemate also came running over to introduce herself and get in on the affection.
- I'm reading a fun YA fantasy series ("Spirit Knights" by Lee French) set in Portland; I'm on the middle book in the series, which is called Backyard Dragons.
- J. is going to tutor D. for the next three weeks to see if they can boost his calculus grade, and the teacher told D. he would weight the final grade extra-heavily if D. keeps improving.
- Although our download speed had gotten terrible again and had been so since late last night, power-cycling the modem and router seems to have fixed it. (It doesn't always.)
