Ups and downs
Feb. 22nd, 2017 10:13 pmI just had an achievement - I realized a draft paper was far enough along that I could send it to my colleagues for feedback, so off it's gone. Check!
However, our Internet connectivity is still as slow as molasses. Even sending e-mail attachments is a pain, and saving files to the network. D's games (Runescape and League of Legends) are frustratingly out of the question for him. J. spent $3 today to get a new game, Rogue Legacy, on Steam and is happily playing it offline.
We've cleaned up all the malware on D's computer, and at this point it appears to be something to do with the network or the cable provider. I hate calling Comcast! I'm going to try to be more methodical about it tomorrow - I'll try shutting down almost all of the devices on the system and see what happens.
