Book club and hot tub, win-win
Jan. 10th, 2017 11:58 pmTonight was book club, A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley. Mostly we talked about the election; also various pregnancies and divorces. My car was stuck in the snow, but A. volunteered to get it out for me, and did so quite easily. Her skill level much surpasses my own.
Later, J. and I used the hot tub, an event that might mark my first time barefoot in the snow. The water was such a lovely temperature.
In other good news, my car inexplicably decided to start again today, just as fine as could be, and proceeded to start eight more times as needed. Very convenient, as D. abruptly came down with yet another cold (his fifth or sixth in the last 2-3 months), and had me pick him up before math class.
