Jan. 4th, 2017 01:48 pmWe now have a good 5" of snow on the ground, and it's still falling and falling. J. and I have been to Safeway, and eventually we got D. bundled up so he can go play in the snow with his girlfriend.
I have SNOW BOOTS. I have never in my life had Actual Snow Boots. I bought them last spring, on a whim, and I am so glad to have them. In the past, my best bet has been fastening plastic bags over my socked feet with rubber bands around my ankles, and then adding my most solid footgear over that. D. only has thin canvas tennis shoes, but hoorah he has the same sized feet as J, who lent him something better.
J's about to refill the sugar-water in the hummingbird feeder, and then I'm going to focus on work. We can wait to light a fire until the sun sets.
