Indian Summers

I enjoyed the series, but, what a soap. I'd have liked to have been able to see the full five seasons they intended, but they had to stop after two, and at least they seem to have wrapped things up satisfactorily. Alice sure had an excessively full day, I have to say.

Meanwhile... D. was sick and stayed home from school, though he did go to the YS rehearsal. I managed to download the right driver to fix my laptop (the graphics display failed abruptly a few days ago, and I'd only gotten it partially fixed before now). I had two meetings on campus, and in between I bought the next book club book, which will be A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley, which looks to be King Lear in Iowa.
