Things we learned this weekend
Aug. 7th, 2016 09:44 pmD:
- Some things, like flying in an airplane, can be scary at first but then not.
- It's a good idea to keep close track of your wallet.
- Strangers can be really kind, even in a place full of anonymous people like Disneyland - they can turn in your wallet with all the cash still inside.
- If you're someone who feels a bit sick in a comfy rocking chair, make a point to ask which Disneyland rides involve rocking and shaking.
- Be sure to ask your teenager to leave things like his bus pass and house key at home before leaving on a trip.
- It's not overly cautious to have more than one person with a photocopy of your kid's ID.
- Even in August, the sun sets 40 minutes earlier in LA than it does in Eugene. Weird!
- Disneyland in August? Take sunscreen.
